Brynberry is a highly evocative Western gothic horror set in Brynberry, a town with both a curse and, in some ways a blessing. A fellow named Constant goes to look after his uncle Kevin, blissfully unaware of the dark path that awaits him there. The artist Niyahet has a really lovely attention to minute details and naturalistic dialogue that truly makes the comic feel alive as the inhabitants flail not only against a parasitic force but against their own grief stopping them from becoming their better selves. Absolutely worthy of your time!
Drive On
Drive On: A Story of American Armor is a love letter to the armor comics of old from artist BUMBLEBEE. The story follows Bravo Tanks as they engage hostiles in the heart of Bujjat City, commanded by the first female tank platoon leader Lizzie Newcomb. The exploits of the 'boy's club' nature of the U.S military is written and drawn with lovingly brusque style as Lt. Newcomb has to compete both with enemy forces and the chauvinism that pervades her surroundings, risking life and limb for her country.
Isidore And Friends
Isidore And Friends is a NSFW webcomic by Alexi about the hot, funny trials and tribulations of Isidore and her friends Oliver, Ky, Erodisi, Revilo, Yk, Aggie, and Bonnie. It's a really nice time, highly recommended!
Molly's Future Mishaps is an absolute delight of a comic from Peyton Partyhorn, detailing the misadventures of time-travelling anthropomorphic sea slugs as they tamper with the fabric of space time and get into grape soda-fueled arguments. As with the best examples of time travel fiction, the characters are all responding to the concept of deteriminism that the conceit of the genre invokes. The lead character Molly Doris (chromodoris quadricolor) is easygoing to a fault, as he runs afoul of the time-travelling Jo Parva (jorunna parva) and both unlikely friends have their lives turned completely upside down. A marvellous adventure awaits you with this pick!
POKEY THE PENGUIN
An excellent work that frankly speaks for itself. If you're interested in what Web 1.0 surrealist humor looked like (other than Jerkcity) look no further.
Static Space
Static Space is an cute cartoony adventure written and drawn by Cookie-Stars, following 15-year-old pessimist Digit and her robot teddy bear pal Dee as they tangle with the exploits of the petty villian Static, a giant millenia-old robot and self-proclaimed 'most powerful being in the universe'. Along the way Digit and Dee befriend the intelligent Aviana and get her help to stop Static's antics.
UTTU
UTTU, written and drawn by Confuse, is the story of a woman named Uttu who finds love and joins the pirate ship Mercy to escape her deteriorating hometown. It is a somber yet bittersweet look at how parenthood changes a person, and what we do with those changes. Captivating work.
Withdrawn
Withdrawn by Casscade is the unfolding romance between Dominick and Kat, his newest next door neighbor, in the heart of New Jersey. It's a really beautiful comic with great expressions and a very strong character-driven humor, epsecially with the early introduction of Ashley and Josh, who act as a sort of shadow to what Dominick and Kat are about. A really enticing read!
